Cable system to be built in the relics of Ngoa Van - Ho Thien

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved of the construction of a cable system in the relics complex of Ngoa Van – Ho Thien.

The new cable system is added to the overall plan for preserving and promoting the historical relics of Tran dynasty in Dong Trieu district which has been approved by the Prime Minister since February 2013.

The provincial People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province is asked to carry out the projects in accordance with the law. Especially, the public zone must be built into protecting area of the relics; reducing a scale and height in some constructions; complying with a regulation to pledge environmental protection as regulated.

Listed as a national cultural and historical vestige since 1962, the Tran dynasty relic site houses the Kings’ graves, temples, shrines, pagodas and towers, representing the special architectural style of the dynasty (1225-1400).

Located on the Bao Dai mountain in a height of 500 meters, Ngoa Van pagoda is the place where King – Monk Tran Nhan Tong, the founder of Vietnam Zen Buddhism, practiced Buddhism. This is also considered the holy site of the Truc Lan Zen sect.

Meanwhile, lying on the Tru Phong mountain in a height of 300 meters, the pagoda of Ho Thien is the place where the second patriarch of Truc Lam Zen Zect, Phap Loa, and other venerable ones practiced Buddhism.

The cable system aims to create more conditions for tourist to the relics, especially the old people, disable people and children.
